Yes, you need a working installation of Simio to use the AI Console add-in. The add-in works with all Simio editions that support user extensions.

Budget models like DeepSeek (0.33x) use fewer credits, rewarding you for choosing cost-effective options. The coefficient applies equally to both input and output tokens.
Why do some models use more credits than others?
Different AI models have different costs from their providers. Claude Opus 4.6 costs over 8x more per token than Gemini Flash. Our credit system reflects these real costs transparently. The coefficient (shown next to each model, e.g., "5.0x") tells you exactly how many credits each token will consume ā€” applied to both input and output. Budget models like DeepSeek 3.2 (0.33x) and Grok 4.1 Fast (0.5x) actually stretch your credits further than baseline.
Can I buy additional credits?
Yes! All paid plan subscribers can purchase credit top-ups directly in the app. Packages start at 1M credits for ā‚¬5. Purchased credits never expire and persist across billing cycles ā€” they are only consumed after your monthly billing cycle credits are used up.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your API keys are stored on our secure server and never exposed to the client. All communication is encrypted via HTTPS. Your simulation model data is sent to the AI provider for processing but is not stored by us.
